Iconastas Russian Fine Art and Antiques

In the heart of London's West End, Iconastas Russian Fine Art and Antiques was established by Chris Martin-Zakheim and John Gaze in 1975 and has been trading for over 40 years.

We are sorry that we have had to close the Iconastas Gallery in Piccadilly Arcade after the death of its owner, Chris Martin-Zakheim. Whilst Iconastas Russian Fine Art and Antiques had been in the heart of London's West End since 1975, our website will continue to show you some of the stock we will be selling off online and through auctions in the coming months.
We've also kept our old website, which can be found at: Iconastas.co.uk.

Iconastas was established by Chris Martin-Zakheim and John Gaze in 1974 and had been trading for over 40 years. Our gallery was small but had an ever changing stock of Russian paintings and objects from ancient times right up to Communist art and lacquer boxes. We are honoured that many famous collections around the world include items purchased our shop. Our clientele ranged from paupers to Princes with the occasional Queen thrown in.
